Doanes at Deacon John Memorial

October 7th, 2007:
Doanes gathered at the Cove Burying Ground in Eastham on Cape Cod to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the dedication of the Deacon John Doane Memorial Stone. James Thomas Doane was the speaker. He described the event of 100 years ago, and had copies of the original program. After the program, we drove to the Deacon John Doane homesite which is now within the boundaries of the Cape Cod National Seashore. We would like to make this area more attractive and infomative.
